After a decade of distinguished service, Vice Provost Laura Beauvais will be returning to the faculty of the College of Business. As such, I am reaching out to the URI community for nominations and applications for the position of Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Initiatives.
Following careful review and in consideration of future needs, the position has been revised and retitled Vice Provost for Academic and Faculty Initiatives. Among the key responsibilities of the position are assisting the Provost with academic and curricular transformations, academic program reviews, and program accreditation; promoting diversity and equity within the University community; assisting with the tenure and promotion process; and interfacing with the Faculty Senate on curriculum and academic programs. Personnel from the Office for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning and the Academic Innovations Group report directly to this position.
