Rhody Postcards: Kenneth J. Osfield ’74, ’89

Kenneth J. Osfield ’74, ’89, University of Florida ADA Compliance Officer

Ken writes from Shanghai, China, where he was a guest of Shanghai Normal University. The trip was sponsored by NASPA (Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education) and Shanghai Normal. The China trip is one of many he has been fortunate enough to be part of (Ireland 2006, Australia 2002, Germany 2000). A member of NASPA for 20 years, Ken has been part of the International Knowledge Community network, and during that time he has been the national chair of the network (2004-06) and the director of the NASPA International Symposium (2002-04). What’s up next? Ken will be a featured speaker at the May 2009 Philippine Association of Administrators of Student Affairs, National Capital Region in Manila, Philippines. He reports that his appetite for international travel all began at URI when he went on his first trip outside the states.
