Student Organization Leadership Consultants President Andrew Lonardo speaks after receiving the Team Excellence Award.
Student Organization Leadership Consultants – The Student Organization Leadership Consultants have an incredible work ethic and common goal to better the URI community and beyond by supporting the growth and betterment of other organizations. SOLC consists of fifteen individually outstanding campus leaders. The SOLC members work collaboratively with groups to promote leadership as they stress the importance of communication, organization, and teamwork in order for the groups to achieve their desired goals. Throughout the school year these members create and run retreats for student groups specifically designed around the group’s personal needs and requests. However, the team is humble because they know that there is always more to learn about being an effective leader and organization.  They engage in the same activities that they facilitate, confirming to themselves that as much a leader as one may be, there is always room to learn and better oneself.  SOLC is process oriented and the group members each contribute in different combinations depending on their personal strengths and compatibility with the client’s needs.  The teamwork skills of SOLC are commendable. The entire team is a role model for other URI students and organizations.
