Last May, the National Science Foundation’s Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) announced two new funding programs, E-CORE and E-RISE, that will dynamically develop research communities and build fundamental research capacity and competitiveness in states like Rhode Island that have historically received less research funding from the Foundation.
To support all of the state’s research communities in taking full advantage of these opportunities, Rhode Island NSF EPSCoR will be holding a series of discussions this Spring to identify strengths, gaps and future directions for research and broader impacts work. Details about the state’s initial E-CORE and E-RISE submissions will be discussed, as well as opportunities for near future collaborations.
Upcoming Sessions
Building Statewide Infrastructure and Collaboration (RESCHEDULED from April 12; Date and Location TBD)
Faculty, researchers, students and staff from across Rhode Island will discuss maximizing current research and broader impacts activities through NSF EPSCoR and beyond, as well as identify strengths and challenges to delivering quality research and economic development opportunities within the state. Agenda & Registration forthcoming
