Student Philanthropy Council

The URI Foundation’s Student Philanthropy Council  is a diverse and creative group of students who help raise awareness about the impact philanthropy has on the entire University community.

The main objectives are to educate the student-body and foster a spirit of giving by planning engaging and meaningful awareness and fundraising activities for the campus. The Council’s message is simple: donor support is critical in enhancing the overall learning experience for everyone.

Students who serve on the council have the opportunity to plan campus events, work with the annual giving office on various initiatives and meet and network with alumni and others on campus while also enhancing their personal leadership skills.

“I Heart URI” campaign begins February 14, 2017 with booths across campus. Events throughout the spring semester will support the Student’s First Fund.
