Zach Taylor is the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the URI Student Senate.
Here is a short list of ways you can use the CIO as a resource:
-Learning about the Student Senate’s operations
-Gaining information about relevant issues related to the Student Senate
-Finding out what will be on the Agenda for the next weekly meeting of the Student Senate.
-Learning how to join the Student Senate.
His daily hours are these:
7:30 – 9:00 AM
12:30 – 2:00 PM
In addition to these daily hours, he will be available on the following days during the indicated hours:
Monday11:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
Wednesday11:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Friday11:00 AM – 4:00 PM

He is a sophomore and is currently studying Economics and Philosophy. He began his career in the Student Senate as a freshman representative, attending meetings and engaging in conversations relating to representation, the Bylaws of the Student Senate, finance policies, snow removal, parking, Online Educational Resources, DACA, library hours, infrastructure related to wifi and television, as well as Indigenous Peoples Day. During his first year he was on the Finance Committee and frequented meetings of the Committee on Campus Affairs, the Committee on External Affairs, and the External Committee.
In April of 2017, he was elected as the Chief Information Officer. In that position, he has served on the Executive Committee, and works with other members to discuss and solve many of the issues students of the University of Rhode Island face.
