Please note the following changes for the late spring and summer that will affect parking and convenient access and egress to and from Rodman and Chafee.
On May 13, the Rodman Lot will be closed and will remain closed throughout the summer. The entrances to Rodman and Chafee on the west side of the buildings will also close, including the entrance to the BCRC/PCC. Access to the drive up to the tunnel entrance to Chafee will close.
On May 19, portions of Alumni Avenue will close.
A handicapped access ramp will be installed on the north side of Chafee near Pharmacy and CBLS. Those who enter via wheelchairs will have to take the lift to the second floor so that they can access the elevator. The closest handicapped parking spaces will be in the Library lot, behind Roosevelt and next to the CPRC and CBLS. They were unable configure wheelchair access to the front entrance of Chafee because the doors are too narrow to meet code.
We recognize that these changes for the summer may pose a serious concern for those with ambulatory problems. If you need to reschedule rooms for the summer sessions, summer conferences or meetings, please let your chair know as soon as possible.
We appreciate your cooperation during this challenging transition period. Parking and access are scheduled to resume in September by the start of classes.
