Talent Development’s (TD) Spring Preparatory Program (PREP) took place on Saturday, March 26th, 2016. This mandatory event prepared hundreds of our incoming students and their families for a successful transition to the University of Rhode Island (URI).
During PREP, students reviewed and selected summer program courses, received information about New Student Orientation, learned about housing contracts/meal plan options, and reviewed financial aid. TD also offered a special Parent PREP breakout session for parent(s)/guardian(s). In addition to our incoming students and their families, PREP guest speakers included mayor of Providence Jorge Elorza, interim Vice President of Student Affairs Dr. Mary Jo Gonzales and President David Dooley.
Additional thanks to the TD student volunteers who we count on every year to make this event a success and to all the IT workers who made it possible to stream the event in two additional auditoriums. We sincerely appreciate you all! #TDNation
