TD Scholars at 2017 Honors Conference

On May 3, 2017 the University of Rhode Island hosted its Annual Honors Conference. The conference is an opportunity for scholars to showcase their capstone Honors projects through oral presentations and poster presentations.

Talent Development would like to highlight some of our graduating scholars we had the pleasure of coming across at the event including (from top to bottom):

Willy Tangui: a Biological Science major with minors in Leadership and Japanese. His project was titled, “Global at URI: International exchange students within URI’s 21st century learning environment”.

Mariam Odetunde: a Business major. Her project was titled, “Soul Simplicity: An Inquiry into Dance, Women and Islam”.

Benjamin Concepcion: a Biology major with a minor in Leadership Studies. His project was titled, “Inspire On; Stereotype Threat Taught as a Motivation for College/Success”.

We are proud of all of our scholars and all of their accomplishments since entering the Talent Development Family. They were accepted into the URI Honors Program which offers interdisciplinary educational experiences that prepare students for the challenges awaiting them upon graduation. Small class sizes across the disciplines mean individualized learning opportunities with outstanding and passionate faculty who are leaders in their fields.
