Thomas Sproul

I am passionate about incorporating technology inside and outside the classroom, particularly in large classes. I believe technology can be used both to facilitate in-class interactions through quizzes, exercises and activities, and to support outside learning through bringing materials to life, incentivizing good study habits, and adding transparency to the grading process. Critically, adoption of technology needs to be supported by evidence of its effectiveness. My current focus is using data to demonstrate the effectiveness of technology in enhancing modern teaching approaches, including gamification and automated methods for just-in-time teaching.
