The 2013 URI Technology Symposium was the first in a series of annual, free, one-day, fun, interesting and educational events with live demonstrations and presentations, by and for faculty and staff. A taste of various technologies currently in use at URI to enhance teaching, learning and research. This initial event was co-sponsored by Information Technology Services, Online Learning and Teaching, and the Harrington School.

On Wednesday, March 20, 2013, URI faculty and staff, shared how they use technology tools in teaching, research and administration. The Memorial Union Ballroom held 50 demonstration tables, and 9 short presentations were given in the adjacent Gallery Room.
