David Groff

David Groff is an independent editor and publishing consultant, focusing on narrative nonfiction, memoir, and literary and popular fiction, and working directly with authors, literary agents, and publishers. Authors he has edited have been published by Basic Books, Farrar Straus, HarperCollins, Miramax, Morrow, Penguin, Pocket, St. Martin’s, Weinstein Books, and Wiley, among others. He began his career at Crown Publishers, where he edited such bestselling authors as Dave Barry, Jim Dwyer, Patrice Gaines, Paul Monette, and Colin Harrison. David has led seminars in publishing at the New School, Penn, Poets House, the Florida Center for the Literary Arts, Otis College, Kennesaw State, and the University of Rhode Island, and has taught courses in publishing at Rutgers University and New York University.
