Biography

Tolani is an alumna of the University of Rhode Island where she studied and received a degree in Doctor of Pharmacy. Tolani is a new faculty member at URI CELS department, where she will be teaching leadership, outreach and also working very closely with the 4H team and other cooperative extension programs. During her postdoctoral fellowship at the Providence VA Medical Center she realized how much she enjoyed teaching and developed into a transformational educator. As a transformational educator, Tolani hopes to create professional relationships with her students and to share knowledge in order to promote learning and personal growth for each individual. Tolani has also worked in various parts of her community, where she’s impacted the lives of middle and high school youth and their families during the past 6 years. She’s helped to encourage positive behavior and taught these young individuals to become strong and wise leaders in their communities. Tolani is excited about her new role in the University and with the 4-H department and hopes to be an influence in producing healthy, resilient and wise leaders in our community.
