They document their skill development, achievement, growth and their learning experiences in a written report.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>4-H Record Books encourage members to set goals and develop plans to meet those goals. Awards for record books provide incentive for participation, learning, and achievement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recording and completing records teaches youth how to complete written forms and present their data in an accurate, clear way.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Serves as a repository for youth to look back on their years of community service, mastery of skills, and leadership when they are applying for jobs or college!&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<section class=\"cl-wrapper cl-boxout-wrapper\"><div class=\"cl-boxout  \"><h1>Filling out your record book<\/h1>\n\n<p>1. Download the record book template that 4-H members fill out each year.<br><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1Tu11WeUcsciomLPDWm7AwNzP1y061gO6xqhbcfSgm58\/edit?usp=sharing\">Record Book Form (Google Docs)<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/4h\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1722\/2026-URI-4-H-Record-Book-with-Instructions.pdf\">Record Book Form (PDF)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Make sure to read through the instructions before you fill out your record book so you are familiar with the different award levels and their requirements!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Submit your completed record book (sections 1-8) to the 4-H State Office <strong>by October 30th<\/strong>.
