Each spring, artistic 4-Hers bring their artwork, sculpture and photographs to the Warwick Mall for the RI State 4-H Photo and Fine Arts Show. Judges evaluate each piece of work on it\u2019s own merit according to the Danish system where artwork is judged against a standard, not against all of the other pieces of art. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

4-Hers can earn ribbons for their effort and several pieces each year are selected by our judges for Best of Show designation. A few years ago, we began inviting the public to vote on their favorite from our judge\u2019s favorites. Each year we tally over 100 votes to determine which piece captured the attention of shoppers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The following are the results:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2012\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Viewers choice award also went to Megan Morrissey for her drawing “m is for Manatee.” <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2011\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Congratulations for Megan Morrissey for her painting “Hugh Jackman”
\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2010\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Congratulations to the 2010 RI 4-H Photo and Fine Arts Show Viewer’s Choice recipients. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Meghan Morrissey’s Mixed Media portrait titled “The Broken Music” and Cameron Millar’s color photo “The Frog” were both chosen by voters as recipients of this year’s Viewer’s Choice award.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2009\u00a0<\/span><\/span>After tallying 247 votes, this year\u2019s \u201cPeople\u2019s Choice Award\u201d went to both Chris Jackman for his painting \u201cThe Weekend Getaway\u201d and to Newell Roberts\u00a0<\/span><\/span>for his color photo entitled \u201cWinter is Here to Stay\u201d. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2008\u00a0<\/span><\/span>After tallying 240 votes, this year\u2019s \u201cPeople\u2019s Choice Award\u201d went to Newell Roberts for his color photo entitled \u201cMoving at the Speed of Life\u201d. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

2007\u00a0<\/span><\/span>This year there was a tie for the \u201cPeople\u2019s Choice Award\u201d. Andrea\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Gosper\u2019s color photo \u201cSadie\u201d, Chris Jackman\u2019s painting titled \u201cDays Gone By\u201d,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Evan Jacavone\u2019s \u201cOld Speedy\u201d painting , and Bethany LeDoux\u2019s black and white\u00a0<\/span><\/span>photo titled \u201cPortrait of Annie\u201c all earned this recognition. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
