S."},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Academic Advising Resources<br><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The B.S. program in interdisciplinary neuroscience will provide students with foundational knowledge of the nervous system including a broad array of areas such as development of the nervous system, brain structure and function, cellular and molecular biology, neuropharmacology, neuroethics, research methods, as well as knowledge of neurodegenerative disease and psychological\/psychiatric disorders.&nbsp;<br><br>The undergraduate program offers three major options (tracks): a B.S. degree with a major in Clinical Neuroscience from the College of Health Sciences, a B.S. degree with a major in Molecular Neuroscience from the College of Environment and Life Sciences, and a B.S. degree with a major in Neuropharmacology from the College of Pharmacy. The option for different neuroscience majors is unique and makes this URI major truly distinct with regard to undergraduate education. All current students seeking to transfer into the program must schedule an appointment with INP academic advisor, <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/advising\/meet\/shelby-salmons\/\">Shelby Salmons<\/a> (via <a href=\"https:\/\/myapps.microsoft.com\/signin\/Starfish\/cdab3583-3ffa-47eb-800d-f9b1c0934141?tenantId=426d2a8d-9ccd-4255-893d-0686a32c168d\">Starfish<\/a>). Students should understand that changing their major to neuroscience later in their academic careers will extend their time to graduation.
