Due to the pending snowstorm, a full parking ban goes into effect at midnight tonight, Wednesday, Jan. 3 and will remain in effect until it is lifted. This restriction applies to the Kingston and Narragansett Bay campuses. To ensure efficient snow removal operations and the safety of the campus community, public safety and facilities operations ask for your cooperation.
Here’s what is meant by a full parking ban and where you may park:
Full Ban => No Parking on
- Any roadway or roadside on the Kingston or Narragansett Bay campuses
- Fraternity Circle roadway and roadside parking from Rte. 138 to Quarry Road
- Commuter Student lots
- Faculty/Staff lots
- Lot 26 and 27 (Keaney and Boss)
- Lot 1 (Briar Lane)
- Students: Lot 20 (on Flagg Road)
- Fine Arts south (faculty, staff and evening students)
Be aware of these areas and park appropriately in approved locations. Vehicles parked in an area where no parking is permitted during a parking ban will be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense.
Reminder: All community members are encouraged to allow ample time for commuting to and from classes or offices and to be prepared for slippery driving and walking conditions.
