All day and evening classes at all campuses will be held as scheduled on Friday, Jan. 5.
Everyone is advised to be prepared for slippery driving and walking conditions on- and off-campus and to exercise caution due to the dropping temperature and the high wind chill index. As weather and driving conditions may vary widely across the region, the University urges individuals to use their best judgment in deciding whether it is safe to travel. Since treatment of roads and walkways may be still be underway, please give yourself plenty of time to get to class and work safely.
Employees: Governor Gina Raimondo has extended the closure of state offices through 11 tonight, Jan. 4, 2018. An adverse weather policy for state employees will then go into effect until 4:30 p.m. tomorrow, Jan. 5, 2018. For affected operations and employees with shifts between 11 this evening and 4:30 p.m. tomorrow, employees who are unable to report for work or unable to complete their regularly scheduled workday because of adverse weather conditions may opt to take annual leave, personal leave, or leave without pay, subject to supervisory approval.
