He is using both qualitative and quantitative methods in order to answer these questions.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Faculty Mentor<br \/>\n<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/politicalscience\/meet\/brendan-mark\/\">Dr. Brendan &#8220;Skip&#8221; Mark<\/a>, Department of Political Science<\/p>\n<hr>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;\u201cI wanted to research the topic because it is an under-researched case of political violence but an important one with important implications.
