McKinley researched international comparisons of quality of life between the United States and several other wealthy democracies around the world. By exploring comparative data outcomes, she gained insight on how other countries approach issues within their governments and communities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Faculty Mentor:<\/strong><br \/>\nRichard McIntyre, teaching professor of economics<\/p>\n<p>Arthur Mead, teaching professor of economics<\/p>\n<hr>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This fellowship has also made me more confident in my ability to ask questions and find answers to them, especially when those answers take a good bit of digging.
