The economics, Spanish, finance, and accounting major is now leaving URI with a full-time analyst position.

What made you choose to come to URI?
URI has always been a part of my life in one way or another. Growing up in West Greenwich, just minutes from the Alton Jones campus, I spent summers at URI camps and even had my first job there. I learned how to swim at the Tootell Aquatic Center and how to skate at Boss Arena. So when it came time to choose a college, URI and its values were already in the back of my mind. Ultimately, URI offered the best academic opportunities and value (even compared to Ivy League and other options I was considering), so I decided to pursue my education here.

What is your favorite memory from URI?
Spending a full year abroad in Spain through URI’s International Business Program was unforgettable. It expanded my global perspective, helped me build my worldview, and pushed me outside my comfort zone in the best possible way.

What is the best thing you have learned at URI?
Some of my most valuable learning experiences came from opportunities outside the classroom. URI makes it incredibly easy to get involved, and those involvements have been transformative. Through student organizations, leadership roles, and extracurricular projects, I’ve gained confidence, broadened my perspective, and learned how to lead with curiosity and purpose.

How did you choose your major?
I started URI as a double major in finance and Spanish, which are two areas I was passionate about. I had always loved following the financial markets, and continuing my Spanish studies from high school felt like a natural step. After taking my first economics courses, I added Applied Economics, which would help me bridge the gap between finance theory and real-world economic application. Later, when the College of Business approved double majoring in two business disciplines, I added accounting as my fourth major, another subject I had developed a strong interest in.

What are your post-graduation plans?
After graduation, I’ll join J.P. Morgan Private Bank in New York City as a full-time Analyst on the Advice Lab team. It’s a big move, but I’m excited for the challenge and confident I can adapt to a new place and role using everything I’ve learned here at URI.

[361,7,362
368,112
post-17520","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-class-of-2025","category-news","category-student-profile","tag-econ","tag-spanish
["GET
