Jason Dwyer (Chemistry)<\/h2>

The new Associate Dean for Research and Graduate Studies was named the recipient of the AES Electrophoresis Society\u2019s Mid-Career Award. This award honors exceptional contributions to the field of electrophoresis, microfluidics, and related areas by an individual who is currently in the middle of their career.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Madison Jones (Professional and Public Writing)<\/h2>

Jones helped secure multiple grants totaling $3.4 million in new federal funding by the U.S. National Science Foundation\u2019s Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research program for a multidisciplinary project to develop strategies to enhance community resilience to climate change.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Luzi Shi (Criminology and Criminal Justice)<\/h2>

Shi won the American Society of Criminology’s Division of Public Opinion and Policy Young Scholar Award and was featured in the February issue of the society’s journal, Criminology.<\/em><\/p><\/div><\/div>

Krishna Venkatasubramanian (Computer Science)<\/h2>

Venkatasubramanian’s work explores virtual reality as a tool to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities deal with trauma\u2019s aftermath backed by a $600K grant from National Science Foundation.<\/p><\/div><\/div>

Bing Mu (Chinese)<\/h2>

Bing was awarded the Research Priority Award by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) for her project, Understanding Students\u2019 Development of Social Justice Awareness through Project-Based Language Learning.

Erin McCutcheon (Art History)<\/h2>
