No matter the chosen area of study, we invite students to explore what fascinates them, to delve into unknown worlds, to think critically, to question the status quo, to synthesize complex problems, to listen to others, to challenge their own opinions, and to communicate effectively. With that level of skill learning multiple languages (English, Spanish, and French), she achieved a level of proficiency not seen before in URI\u2019s Japanese program.<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"cl-card-container button\">Learn More<\/div><\/a><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"cl-wrapper cl-card-wrapper\"><a class=\"cl-card  \" href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/artsci\/news\/student-spotlight-carrie-sullivan-25\/\" title=\"\"><div class=\"cl-card-container media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/artsci\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1132\/carrie-scaled.jpg\" srcset=\"\" alt=\"\"><\/div><div class=\"cl-card-container text\"><div class=\"cl-card-text\"><h2>Carrie Sullivan \u201925<\/h2><p>Majors: Music Therapy and Spanish<br><br>Sullivant completed a student fellowship where she created the\u00a0 \u201cLanguage Learning and Neurodiversity Toolkit\u201d which provides practical and thoughtful arguments as to why learning a new language should be accessible to all students.
