{"id":6664,"date":"2019-10-09T10:31:36","date_gmt":"2019-10-09T14:31:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/artsci\/?p=6664"},"modified":"2019-10-15T10:45:54","modified_gmt":"2019-10-15T14:45:54","slug":"women-in-politics-roundtable","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/artsci\/news\/women-in-politics-roundtable\/","title":{"rendered":"Women in Politics Roundtable"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On September 3, 2019, the College of Arts and Sciences and the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program sponsored a Women in Politics, Policy, and Administration roundtable where current students, alumni, faculty, and friends of the program gathered to celebrate the successes and to hear about the challenges overcome by prominent MPA alumnae.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">The evening began with networking over hors d\u2019oeuvresand complimentary drinks, followed by a roundtable discussion and audience Q&amp;A. Department of Political Science Professor Emeritus Maureen Moakley, a frequent radio contributor and authority on local Rhode Island politics, moderated the roundtable.
