The process provides departments with a structured opportunity to <strong>reflect<\/strong> on their work, <strong>evaluate<\/strong> program effectiveness, and <strong>plan<\/strong> strategically for the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>APR is intended to support continuous improvement by examining key aspects of a program\u2019s quality, impact, and direction. It also provides space for departments to highlight accomplishments and identify priorities moving forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong>Student Learning Outcomes and Assessment<\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Student learning outcomes assessment is an important component of APR. Programs are expected to present evidence of student learning at the program level and to reflect on what that evidence indicates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through this process, departments:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify areas of strength<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Recognize opportunities for growth<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consider changes that may enhance student learning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Document progress over time<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The integration of assessment into APR reinforces the University\u2019s commitment to ongoing program improvement and student success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><strong><strong>Committee and Governance<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>APR is supported by the <strong>Joint Committee on Academic Program Review and Outcomes Assessment<\/strong>.
