As faculty development, we will foster programs which enable instructors to show the benefits to students and the institution of the work they do to improve their teaching. Also, we want to ensure that instructors of all classifications are able to craft a satisfying career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being able to tell their story helps instructors cast themselves as heroes in their own tenure and promotion narrative: they will identify their quest for the year; figure out ways to overcome obstacles; and relate their growth in a compelling way. Hopefully this outcome &#8211; and the programs which spring from it &#8211; will form the basis of all we do as instructors will chart their course and identify programs which will help them get where they want to go.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Relevant Programs<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"cl-tiles thirds equal-height\"><div class=\"cl-wrapper cl-card-wrapper\"><a class=\"cl-card  \" href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/atl\/cels-tell-your-teaching-story\/\" title=\"\"><div class=\"cl-card-container text\"><div class=\"cl-card-text\"><h2>CELS Tell Your Teaching Story<\/h2><p>Have you ever had writer&#8217;s block surrounding your teaching statement for your dossier? In this session, participants will hear from their peers about their experience and explore research-backed criteria for teaching effectiveness.
