Explore a range of research methods in SoTL, and learn how you can use your disciplinary foundations to better understand your students\u2019 learning. We will discuss five major methods for data collection and analysis related to assessing student learning: questionnaires, observations, interviews, close reading, and think-alouds. We will also address specific concerns related to human subjects research. Come with unanswered questions about your teaching practice and students\u2019 learning, and leave with multiple approaches for answering those questions. You do not need prior experience or a current project in SoTL to participate in this session.<\/p>\n\n\n
