Introducing an online activity in class and then providing feedback to the activity<br>in class after the activity is completed can help \u201cclose the loop\u201d of learning for students. \u200b\u200bSmall<br>group activities centered around asynchronous content at the beginning of a face to face session<br>gives students an opportunity to \u201cdust off the cobwebs,\u201d gain confidence in their thinking, and<br>identify points of consensus and areas needing clarification. Active learning in the classroom can<br>increase student engagement and promote learning.
