Reach out to Outcomes Assessment staff with questions (<a href=\"mailto:assess@uri.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">assess@uri.edu<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ask<\/strong>: What are the most important things a student should know, be able to do or demonstrate after completing my\u00a0program\/course\/learning?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Draft<\/strong>: Identify 3-7 core domains to focus on. Write each of them as SLO statements action verbs and measurable evidence.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>References: <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1970\/Verb-Wheel-based-on-the-revised-Blooms-Taxonomy-1.png\" rel=\"lightbox[5452]\">action verbs aligned with Bloom&#8217;s taxonomy<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1970\/Bloom-Planning-Worksheet-1.doc\">planning worksheet<\/a> (Word).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Edit and review<\/strong>: Consider the following questions:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Can it be observed?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Can it be measured?<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Is learning being demonstrated? (rather than satisfaction, process, personal goal or attitude)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Publish: <\/strong>For program-level outcomes, post the program outcomes to the department website and provide Outcomes Assessment (e-mail to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:assess@uri.edu\">assess@uri.edu<\/a>) with a link. For course-level outcomes, include on your syllabus and\/or Brightspace site.
