Evolutionary processes touch just about every area of biological sciences research. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jason Kolbe <\/a>is studying the ecological and evolutionary responses of lizard populations to recent, human-mediated global change\u00a0including biological invasions, climate\u00a0change, and urbanization. Hollie Putnam<\/a> leads a team studying the effects of abiotic environment and biotic interactions on phenotype, ecological patterning, and evolutionary processes through the interaction of symbiosis, genetics, and epigenetics. Chris Lane<\/a> works on genomic changes at evolutionary transitions in lifestyle, such as recently evolved parasites and loss of photosynthesis. Carlos Prada<\/a> focuses on basic questions such as how species form and how biodiversity is maintained, and also on practical applications for the preservation, protection and restoration of the diverse life in the oceans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
