Requirements for the FinTech Certificate
- Students should commit to the FinTech certificate during the semester in which the
student expects to complete 75 credit hours. Requirements are satisfied by completion of the 12 credits as listed below. - A minimum grade of “C” must be earned in the 12 required credits.
- At least 3 courses for the certificate must be earned at the University of Rhode Island.
- Courses in the certificate may not be taken under the Pass/Fail option.
Curriculum
Fintech Certificate involves the following four courses:

- FIN 434 – FinTech Law: Navigates the legal and regulatory landscape of the FinTech world. Essential for understanding the complex interplay of law, policy, privacy, and emerging financial technologies.
