There are <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/business\/academics\/graduate\/tmd#specializations\">three TMD&nbsp;specializations&nbsp;at the graduate level<\/a>: historic textiles and fashion (including cultural studies and conservation), fashion business, and textile science. Students must complete the requirements for the non-thesis option in one of the three specializations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The total number of credits required for an ABM is 33 credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\" \/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Curriculum<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Up to one-third of these credits (i.e., up to 11 credits) can count for both undergraduate and ABM credits, but these courses must be at the 400\/500 level.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Up to one-third of these credits (i.e., up to 11 credits) can include those 400-level courses in other disciplines that count for graduate credit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If non-TMD courses are applied to the ABM program of study, half of the total credits for the ABM degree must be in TMD.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Only courses taken at URI can double count towards this ABM program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All ABM students will complete an industry-oriented Capstone project through the Independent Study course (TMD 540) (Capstone projects can include industry-sponsored projects or an industry-focused case study).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Accelerated B.S. to M.S. in Textiles, Fashion Merchandising, and Design Specializations The ABM program offers three TMD specializations: Fashion Merchandising, Textile Science, and Historic Textiles and Fashion.
