{"id":45411,"date":"2026-01-14T10:21:19","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T15:21:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/business\/?page_id=45411"},"modified":"2026-01-14T14:13:01","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T19:13:01","slug":"msa-accelerated-bachelors-to-masters-degree-msa-abm","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/business\/academics\/msa-accelerated-bachelors-to-masters-degree-msa-abm\/","title":{"rendered":"MSA Accelerated Bachelor\u2019s to Master\u2019s Degree (MSA ABM)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p>Exceptional undergraduate students in the URI Accounting Bachelor of Science program (ACC) are eligible to apply for the Accelerated Bachelor\u2019s to Master\u2019s MSA program (MSA ABM) as a path to earn the MSA degree.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\"><a class=\"cl-button   prominent\" href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/graduate-school\/apply\/\" title=\"\">apply today<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Students admitted into the MSA ABM program will have the opportunity for time and cost savings due to the option to apply three (required) undergraduate ACC courses as electives toward the MSA ABM. These ACC course credits will count towards that student\u2019s undergraduate ACC degree as well as the MSA degree (i.e., dual count).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three of the following four ACC courses may be applied to the MSA ABM program:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>ACC401 Accounting Computer Systems<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ACC402 Advanced Accounting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ACC403 Federal Tax Accounting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ACC404 Auditing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Applicant and Admission Requirements:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Applicants must have completed at least 75 undergraduate course credits.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ACC students must have earned a B (or better) in ACC 301, 302 and 303.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note, the qualifications listed above are minimum qualifications and do not guarantee admission to the MSA ABM program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prospective students who meet the minimum qualifications are required to apply through the URI Graduate School admissions process.
