Rentals are FREE for all current matriculating (paying Student Activity Fee) URI students. Bikes can be picked up and returned at the Mackal Field House and must be returned the same day by the designated return time. Each rental includes the bike, a helmet, and a u-lock. Riders are expected to return bikes and equipment in good condition, as damage or late returns may result in suspension of privileges or a fee. Helmets are required while riding on campus or public roads, and all users are expected to follow bike path and traffic regulations. For additional details, including bike path maps and full program policies, see the information at the bottom of this page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Reserve a Bike<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To reserve a bike, call <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=mackal+field+house&amp;rlz=1C1GCEA_en&amp;oq=mackal+field+house&amp;gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUqCggAEAAY4wIYgAQyCggAEAAY4wIYgAQyEAgBEC4YrwEYxwEYgAQYjgUyBwgCEAAYgAQyCAgDEAAYFhgeMggIBBAAGBYYHjIICAUQABgWGB4yCAgGEAAYFhgeMgYIBxBFGD3SAQgyNzk3ajBqN6gCALACAA&amp;sourceid=chrome&amp;ie=UTF-8#\">(401) 874-5926<\/a> or visit the Customer Service Center at Mackal Field House during <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/campusrec\/mfh-hours\/\">operating hours<\/a>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bike reservations start one hour after the facility opens, and for safety reasons, all bikes must be returned before dark, with return times varying seasonally based on daylight hours.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A waiver must be signed at the time of your first bike reservation and is valid for one year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A key will be provided to unlock the U-lock that is attached to the bike.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Campus Recreation employee will complete a physical bike inspection, review safety requirements and program policies, and assist with adjusting the bike to ensure a proper fit, prior to leaving.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will also be required to provide a signature for each ride, confirming that you agree to follow all program policies and traffic laws.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Returning Your Bike<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Return the bike to the front of Mackal Field House and lock it securely to the bike rack located near the main entrance.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use the provided U-lock attached to the bike to secure it before returning the key to the Customer Service Center.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A Campus Recreation employee will complete a post-ride inspection to ensure the bike and equipment are in proper condition.<br><em>Note: Bikes returned late or with damage may result in temporary suspension of bike privileges in accordance with program policies.<\/em><br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\"><div class=\"cl-wrapper cl-card-wrapper\"><a class=\"cl-card  \" href=\"https:\/\/www.uri.edu\/programs\/\" title=\"\"><div class=\"cl-card-container media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/campusrec\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/960\/Bike-Safety.jpg\" srcset=\"\" alt=\"\"><\/div><div class=\"cl-card-container text\"><div class=\"cl-card-text\"><h2>Bike Safety &amp; Regulations<\/h2><p>Before you ride, know the rules of the road.
