Learning Objectives 

At the completion of this activity learners will be able to: 

1. Describe how to effectively recognize and respond to an opioid-involved breathing emergency, including considerations with xylazine and illicitly manufactured fentanyl

2. Counsel patients and caregivers on how to use unregulated substances more safely and where to find recovery resources

3. Dispel myths and provide facts related to medications for opioid use disorder, passive fentanyl exposure, various naloxone formulations, and liability concerns.

Learning Outcomes 

As a result of this activity, learners will be able to recognize and respond to opioid-involved breathing emergencies.
