Attendance in CHE 501 or 502 is required every semester for all on-campus students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The department offers a thesis and non-thesis option.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The&nbsp;<strong>thesis program<\/strong>&nbsp;includes 18 credits of course work, 12 credits of research as well as a formal written thesis and thesis defense.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A <strong>non-thesis<\/strong> program is available for part-time or full-time students. For the non-thesis Master\u2019s degree, a special projects experience (e.g. major paper, written technical report, review article) approved by a faculty advisor and Chemical Engineering Graduate Program Director is required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Chemical Engineering M.S.
