Tutors usually work 5-10 hours per week.<br \/>\n<strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>OPI: Advanced Low or above<\/li>\n<li>Reading: Intermediate High or above<\/li>\n<li>Listening: Intermediate High or above<\/li>\n<li>Latest course grade in Chinese needs to be an A- or above<\/li>\n<li>Proven commitment to the URI Chinese Flagship Program and learning Chinese<\/li>\n<li>Excellent work ethic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation:<\/strong> Hourly<br \/>\n<strong>Application process:<\/strong> Applications for work for the following term open at the end of each semester. Flagship staff will send out emails asking all interested to apply online.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>Resident Academic Mentor (RAM)<\/h2>\n<p>Serve as a live-in mentor for freshmen in Chinese Living and Learning Community.<br \/>\n<strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Must be sophomore or above<\/li>\n<li>Have a minimum GPA of 3.0<\/li>\n<li>Be able to&nbsp;work an average of&nbsp;12.5 hours per week<\/li>\n<li>Be able to training activities and programs during the year<\/li>\n<li>Be willing to live in assigned LLC residence<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate dedication to the URI Chinese Flagship Program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Compensation:<\/strong> Waiver for the cost of housing&nbsp;<br \/>\n<strong>Application process: <\/strong>Submit an application through <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/housing\/student-employment\/ram-application\/\">URI&#8217;s Housing Services website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Submit application in December<\/li>\n<li>Interview with Housing Services and Chinese Faculty in January\/February<\/li>\n<li>Decision released in March<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For a full description visit the URI <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/housing\/student-employment\/ram-job-description\/\">URI Housing website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>Flagship Student Ambassador&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<p>Help promote and represent Chinese Flagship Program to partners and potential students and families.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Has an overall GPA of at least 3.0<\/li>\n<li>Must be at least a sophomore Chinese Flagship student.
