Prospective students are encouraged to contact individual faculty with whom they would like to work to learn more about graduate research opportunities and availability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Admission Requirements<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants must have at least a baccalaureate degree in Communicative Disorders, Human Development and Family Science, Kinesiology, Nutrition, Physical Therapy or other appropriate discipline. Up to 30 credits from a previously-earned master\u2019s degree or clinical doctoral degree may be applied toward the PhD if the prior degree is in the relevant discipline. Transfer credits from related disciplines will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. International applicants may be required to submit transcript translations\/evaluations and\/or results of English language proficiency testing. Please see https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/graduate-school\/admission\/international\/ for more details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Deadlines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For admission in the Fall semester, the deadline for the receipt of completed applications is <strong>July 15<\/strong>. However, for maximum consideration for teaching assistantships and fellowships, all materials should be received by <strong>Feb 1<\/strong>.
