The recognition is objectively arrived at using the latest 10 years of NIH&#8217;s PubMed database and Expertscape\u2019s methodology to rank researchers. To be considered an Expertscape Expert, the researcher needs to be among the top 1 percent worldwide in research and publications in their specific medical topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;To be ranked among the top experts in the world is a rather significant achievement. Our rankings have become widely recognized and respected in medical and scientific communities worldwide because the objective results are based on peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals,&#8221; Expertscape noted in its announcement of Dr. Weiss&#8217; award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Weiss is an assistant professor of psychology for the College, and director of the Study of Trauma, Risk-taking, Emotions, and Stress Symptoms (STRESS) Lab.
