Psychology Professor Nicole Weiss<\/a> has been recognized among the top experts in the world in trauma and stressor related disorders after being named a “world expert in one or more medical topics” by Expertscape<\/a>, an online database of the top researchers and health experts around the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr. Weiss is now ranked among the top 1 percent of experts in her field worldwide. The recognition is objectively arrived at using the latest 10 years of NIH’s PubMed database and Expertscape\u2019s methodology to rank researchers. To be considered an Expertscape Expert, the researcher needs to be among the top 1 percent worldwide in research and publications in their specific medical topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “To be ranked among the top experts in the world is a rather significant achievement. Our rankings have become widely recognized and respected in medical and scientific communities worldwide because the objective results are based on peer-reviewed publications in scientific journals,” Expertscape noted in its announcement of Dr. Weiss’ award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr. Weiss is an assistant professor of psychology for the College, and director of the Study of Trauma, Risk-taking, Emotions, and Stress Symptoms (STRESS) Lab.
