She is a type of assistance dog known as a facility dog. She comes to us from the Assistance Dogs International accredited non-profit, Dogs for Better Lives (DBL). DBL describes facility dogs as follows: &#8220;Facility Dogs are trained to perform specific tasks, are placed with working professionals, and can be a valuable addition to their work with people with disabilities or vulnerable populations.&#8221;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Winnie works at The Counseling Center alongside clinical counselor Danielle Madden, LICSW. You may see her at our center in a 1-on-1 appointment, in group therapy sessions, or out on campus at various Counseling Center events.
