Robert Reid

Biography

As the Chief of Party (CoP) for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) OurFish OurFuture project, Robert Reid will provide overall technical and administrative leadership for the Project in coordination with the U.S.-based principal investigators (PIs). He will be responsible for all aspects of coordination and communication, especially with the Fijian government, other donors, the private sector, universities, and other potential implementing partners. Robert will maintain a strong and responsive relationship with the USAID/Philippines office and its personnel, and will establish, coordinate, oversee and participate in implementation of the Project in response to requests from USAID/Philippines and ensure that quality products are delivered on schedule. Robert will be responsible for timely program and financial reporting. He will supervise the Deputy Chief of Party (DCoP), the Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Regional Advisor, and other project-related positions in the region.

Robert hopes to bring fisher community voices to the forefront to improve sustainable coastal fisheries in Palau, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Papua New Guinea, the Solomon Islands, and Vanuatu.
