His professional interests lie at the intersection of computer science and mathematics. In particular, Ed contributes to the fields of computer algebra and the design and analysis of algorithms. Throughout his career, he has actively been involved in the development of innovative approaches for teaching and learning computer science and mathematics. Ed&#8217;s book&nbsp;<em>Computer Algebra: Concepts and Techniques<\/em>&nbsp;explores the design and implementation of these mathematical software systems.
