Learn how to search and apply for student employment opportunities in our main office, as well as the offices of Commuter Housing, <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/studentconduct\/work-with-us\/\">Community Standards\/Student Conduct<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/disability\/get-involved\/\">Disability, Access, and Inclusion<\/a>, and Greek Life.<\/P><\/p>\n<p class=\"full-width\"><b>Just a few of our positions:<\/B><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Community Standards Office Assistant<\/li>\n<li>Disability Resource Mentor<\/li>\n<li>Greek Life Office Assistant<\/li>\n<li>Main Office Student Assistant<\/li>\n<li>Technical Accommodation Assistant<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"fullwidth\">For eligibility requirements for <B>ALL<\/B> student employment at URI, see <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/financial-aid\/student-employment\/\">URI Student Employment Policy<\/a> on the Enrollment Services\/Financial Aid website.  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Undergraduate student applicants must be matriculated and registered for at least six (6) credits at the time of application and during employment. (or for the next semester during periods of non-enrollment).<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to work a minimum of 10-15 hours per week throughout the employment period.<\/li>\n<li>Must be in good academic and conduct standing at the time of application and throughout the employment period.<\/li>\n<li><I>All applicants must consent to a conduct history check by the Office of Community Standards.<\/I><\/li>\n<li>Preference will be given to students who have a Federal College Work-Study award.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><section class=\"cl-wrapper cl-boxout-wrapper\"><div class=\"cl-boxout  \"><h1>Additional Information<\/h1><p><\/p>\n<p class=\"fullwidth\">The majority of student positions pay an hourly wage, determined by the student wage category of the position, paid bi-weekly via direct deposit. Student employees are paid according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/controller\/payroll\/state\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">URI Biweekly Payroll Schedule<\/a>. Our student workers play a vital role in delivering support to their fellow students. Daily duties inlcude of answering questions and communicating via phone or in-person with students, faculty, and family members, and scheduling appointments, as needed. A person who is successful in this position has patience and warmth, as well as a high attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to create and maintain confidential records.  <P> Our reception is open everyday the University is open Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM ET. Primary responsibilities include responding to inquiries (i.e., via phone, in-person, email) and providing resources\/referrals that may assist our stakeholders' needs. Students must provide excellent customer service and follow-through, maintain project schedules, and perform basic bookkeeping\/record-keeping.<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"cl-card-container button\">More information about the Commuter Housing\/Affairs office.<\/div><\/a><\/div><\/div>\n<div><div class=\"cl-wrapper cl-card-wrapper\"><a class=\"cl-card  \" href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/studentconduct\/work-with-us\/\" title=\"\"><div class=\"cl-card-container text\"><div class=\"cl-card-text\"><h2>Community Standards\/Student Conduct<\/h2><p>The Office of Community Standards routinely hires undergraduate students in our Adams Hall location to provide general office assistance including staffing the reception area, handling paperwork, and research. Staff guide the URI community towards dismantling the educational barriers that have historically marginalized disabled students, and ensure that their intersecting identities are welcomed, valued, and respected within the academy.
