Quad Fest is an annual welcome-back celebration at the University of Rhode Island, hosted by President Marc Parlange. In 2025, the event took place on Tuesday, September 30, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the URI Quadrangle. It featured a variety of activities designed to foster community spirit and provide students with valuable resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlights of Quad Fest 2025<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  • Fall Student Organization Fair<\/strong>: Over 40 student groups were present to answer questions and provide information about their organizations. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Free Farmers Market<\/strong>: Complimentary fresh produce was available for attendees to enjoy. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • URI Fresh Check Day<\/strong>: A mental health awareness fair with 21 interactive booths covering topics such as nutrition, sleep, relationships, alcohol, and stress relief. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Lawn Games<\/strong>: Activities like cornhole, Kan Jam, and Spike Ball were provided by the URI Recreation Team. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • RI National Guard Rock Wall<\/strong>: A rock climbing wall was set up at the center of the Quad. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Peckham Farm Petting Zoo<\/strong>: Attendees had the opportunity to interact with animals at the petting zoo. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • WRIU Disc Jockey<\/strong>: Live music was provided by the WRIU Radio Station. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Complimentary Refreshments<\/strong>: The first 500 guests received free hot dogs, grilled cheese sandwiches, popcorn, cookies, and water. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Additional Attractions<\/strong>: Rhody the Ram was present for photos, and the Kingston Fire Station provided information about volunteering. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Quad Fest serves as a vibrant start to the academic year, bringing together students, faculty, and staff to celebrate the URI community.
