As the second largest student employer on campus, with over 400 student positions, you’ll find all kinds of opportunities with a variety of shifts and very flexible scheduling to fit into your needs. Most positions start at $13.50 per hour and are open to any matriculating URI student taking a minimum of 6 credits, with or without work study!

As the second largest employer on campus, our department encompasses (2) all-you-care-to-eat Dining Halls, (8) Retail Outlets, a Catering Department, and the URI BakeShop! From all-you-care-to-eat dining, to al-la-carte ordering, and even quick Grab-n-Go options, we strive to provide a wide variety of services at locations throughout campus. We produce over 12,000 meals per day, cater over 3000 events per year, and service over 190,000 guests annually. Those are big numbers!
To support this scope of service, we contract supplies and manage fresh food deliveries daily through our dedicated central warehouse facility. We produce made-from-scratch and made-to-order options, in addition to semi-prepared and pre-packaged food items, in addition to managing the University ‘s ID cards, Meal Plans, and Ram Account systems. Come and join our extensive team and work alongside skilled professionals in every capacity from light food prep to dish room maintenance, customer service, IT and technology support, communications, and general office help.
