{"id":797,"date":"2017-12-03T21:25:55","date_gmt":"2017-12-04T02:25:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/dpml\/?page_id=797"},"modified":"2022-10-05T13:53:08","modified_gmt":"2022-10-05T17:53:08","slug":"niuvt","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/dpml\/niuvt\/","title":{"rendered":"NIUVT \/ NEEC"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center\">&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: left\">National Institute for Undersea Vehicle Technology (NIUVT)<\/h2>\n<p>The National Institute for Undersea Vehicle Technologies is a university-industry partnership that collaborates with the Navy to advance the capabilities of the next generation US undersea fleet by training innovative workforce and by accelerating the research, development, and transition of key enabling technologies.<\/p>\n<p>This is a partnership between the University of Connecticut (UConn), University of Rhode Island (URI) and General Dynamics Electric Boat (EB) to enhance performance and reduce costs of the shipbuilding process while insuring that advanced technologies are implemented into the next generation and next platform of undersea vehicles.
