The organization offers opportunities for members to meet fellow students, build relationships with faculty, organize events, and learn about postgraduate opportunities. The only requirement is that members have an interest in economics!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ESA has held a range of events including a pizza\/jeopardy social, a graduate school information panel with URI alumni, an interview panel with the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and a variety of workshops involving Linkedin, internship applications, and interview skills. Various alumni events have also been organized by the ESA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2026\/2027 Executive Board\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Teresa Oliveira \u2013 President&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Justin Funkenberg \u2013 Vice President&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Seamus Baxter \u2013 Secretary&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maya Souza \u2013 Treasurer&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nidia Rodriguez \u2013 Social Media Chair&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Meetings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ESA meeting times vary by semester. In Fall 2026, the ESA will meet on Wednesdays at 5:30 P.M. in Chafee 801. Meetings typically last about an hour. Information on meetings and events is frequently posted on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/uri.esa\">ESA Instagram page<\/a>.
