However, RIDE and other state departments of education may include additional requirements, such as passing scores on certification tests, as a part of their licensing process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, as a state-approved educator preparation provider, URI\u2019s teacher education programs are all approved to prepare teachers to teach reading with scientific reading instruction and structured literacy instruction aligned with but not limited to, the content measured by the stand-alone reading assessment adopted by the Rhode Island Board of Education in accordance with the Rhode Island Right to Read Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accreditation<\/h2>\n\n\n<div class=\"cl-wrapper cl-card-wrapper\"><a class=\"cl-card  \" href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/education\/about\/accreditation\/\" title=\"\"><div class=\"cl-card-container media\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/education\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/1572\/aaqep-logo.jpg\" srcset=\"\" alt=\"AAQEP logo\"><\/div><div class=\"cl-card-container text\"><div class=\"cl-card-text\"><h2>AAQEP<\/h2><p>Our teacher education programs are accredited by Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP) and certified by the Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE).<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"cl-card-container button\">reporting and data<\/div><\/a><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In the spirit of partnership, we strive to create a community where collegiality and collaboration thrive.
