Scholarship<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThe T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood\u00ae Program is a unique scholarship program that empowers child care professionals to elevate their career trajectory and contribution to the field by pursuing further educational opportunities in early childhood education. The initiative also benefits sponsoring child care programs by fostering their workforce development. URI&#8217;s Early Childhood Education program is proud to be in partnership with the <a href=\"https:\/\/teach-ri.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">T.E.A.C.H. RI Program<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/child-development-centers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Experiential Learning<\/a><br \/>\n<\/strong>The ECE majors will have field experiences at the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/child-development-centers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">URI Child Development Centers<\/a> in Kingston and Providence, accredited by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.naeyc.org\/\">the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)<\/a>. Foundational and professional ECE courses include practicum components that provide the ECE majors with high quality lab-school learning opportunities to develop their skills in working with young children (pre-K) and primary grades prior to their PreK-3 residency.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/uri.libguides.com\/cml\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>Curriculum Materials Library<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThe Curriculum Materials Library collection consists of specialized resources and materials including: books, reference materials, periodicals and kits, media, maps, globes, laptops, cameras, instructional software, and more.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/gemsnet\/\"><strong>GEMS-Net<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThe Guiding Education in Math and Science Network (GEMS-Net) supports STEM teaching and learning for Kindergarten through Grade 8 through. GEMS-Net staff use highly innovative strategies to prepare pre-service elementary and middle school teachers to be leaders in STEM education.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/web.uri.edu\/education\/office-of-teacher-education\/\"><strong>Office of Clinical Practice and Partnerships (OCPP)<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\nThe OCPP provides support and guidance on your pathway to becoming a teacher, beginning with admission to the College of Education, and continuing beyond completion of both initial and advanced certification programs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Early Childhood Education (B.S.)
