Databases<\/h1>\n

The URI Library allows users to search for articles in many education databases. To check the library’s holdings, see its LibGuide on Education Databases<\/a>. The School of Education also has a subscription to <\/span>TeachingBooks<\/span><\/a>, which offers curated content about children\u2019s and young adult books.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, students can access AskRI.org<\/a>, the site for all services of the Statewide Reference Resource Center at Providence Public Library. This collection includes the following databases:<\/p>\n

Explora<\/a> — featuring databases for primary and secondary students as well as educators, this database provides articles and facts for research papers, class projects or homework.<\/p>\n

WorldBook<\/a> — includes kids, student and advanced encyclopedias, as well as Spanish language encyclopedias. WorldBook eBooks include dozens of nonfiction and fiction titles, including some Read Aloud options.<\/p>\n

The EBSCO E-Book Subscription K-8 Collection offers full-text fiction and non-fiction titles for K-8 students across all subject areas taught in elementary and middle schools. <\/p><\/div><\/div>
